The respiratory system is complex.

The respiratory (breathing) system can be affected by many different kinds of disease. We seek to find ways to help this system work better when affected by disease.

Chronic cough

Although not life-threatening, chronic (long-lasting) cough can affect people’s social and mental well-being. We’ve dedicated ourselves to researching treatments for those who live with a chronic cough.

RSV

RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) is a common respiratory virus that can sometimes lead to more severe infections such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia, especially in very young children and the elderly. MSD is committed to researching potential new prevention options.
